A/C Pad and Grading Soil

At lunch time I saw the freshly poured air conditioning pad.

After work I went by the house again and saw the soil that they will use for leveling out the yard.

Notice to Vacate Submitted

After almost 4 and half years in this dump, we have FINALLY submitted our notice to vacate. I even had the duplicate notice signed.

It rained quite a bit this morning. I went out to the house to do a leak check and found no leaks. I did notice while I was at the house that one of the cabinet doors in the kitchen have been replaced.

Today the builder told me that he is expecting sand to be delivered tomorrow for our yard grading. I'm not sure what that means or even if that's exactly what I heard. Countertops are supposed to arrive on Thursday and that would be followed by ceramic tile. I told him again and the sales rep that I have submitted our 30 day notice. They assured me that we would be in the house next month.

Flatwork - Day #4

A week later, we finally have a driveway.

I put a lot of pressure on everyone today about the house being ready before the end of next month. The builder told me to go ahead and put in my 30 day notice and that he would make everything 'happen'. That sounds good but its verbal.

Later in the afternoon my realtor had been talking to the sales rep and the sales rep stated that she sets the close date not the builder. So the 30 day notice is kind of in limbo still (^%^#$&(*%(&$%#

But.......the lender called me in the evening to tell me that he put even more pressure on the big guys at the corporate office for the builder to have us in that house by September 24 or there will be problems. He said everyone assured him we would be in there by then.

Other than the little black spacer things and some wood dividers, I didn't see much activity at the house today at all.

Sand and rebar has been placed for our sidewalk and driveway. Additionally, the master bath cabinet has been replaced.

The forms for the driveway and sidewalk (flatwork) were set up this afternoon.

Primer and Interior Paint

The first thing I did this morning was mark the electrical outlets that were covered up with drywall. The crew was already there getting their supplies ready to primer and paint.

The painter told me that they will paint 3 times. Today would be the first time. Here are the afternoon photos.
